Study: Going all-electric by 2035 could save households $1,000 annually

A recent study from the University of California, Berkeley, stated that all new vehicles made in the US could be made electric by 2035. The study went on to explain how the shift to all-electric vehicles would potentially save households an additional $1000 dollars annually and support a net increase of nearly two million jobs nationwide.

The study also claims that a total shift in electric car sales, 80% shift in new truck sales, and powering them all with clean 90% clean electricity would reduce economy-wide emissions by 35%. So far, Washington and California have made significant efforts to end gasoline-powered car sales by 2030 and 2035 respectively; while states like Maine, Oregon, and New Jersey have also begun developing plans to shift to EV.
